2024 Camp
17th ANNUAL CANMORE LABOUR DAY CAMP
Dates: Saturday, August 31 – Monday, September 2, 2024
Location: Canmore Recreation Centre – 1900 8 Ave
Age: 9 and over
This camp is targeted to developing sound fundamentals and giving skaters a solid base to build their season from. Registration numbers will determine the number of groups. This camp is for anyone with previous speed skating experience (at least 1 year), but racing experience is not necessary.
Each group will have two ice sessions per day. There will be daily off ice and/or classroom sessions. We have 30 spaces open to start and will add coaches if the waitlist has interested skaters.
Parents are required to register for shifts to take mats on and off the rink and fill up water buckets. Parents of younger skaters will need to register for shifts to assist in the change rooms before or after ice sessions
COST
Early Bird Rate: $195 per skater until June 30.
Early Bird Rate: $195 per skater until June 30.
Regular Registration Rate: $220 per skater from July 1 until registration closes mid-August or if the camp fills up before then.
We need to meet our minimum skater deadline by July 31 or adjust our ice times to meet registration numbers.
Registration will close mid-August to enable our coaching staff to finalize groups or earlier if the camp fills up. Please email us about last minute inquiries.
Skater groups and finalized schedule will be shared the last week of August. We will need parents to assist with mats being put off and on the ice and will confirm when we send out the schedule.
