$25 – Provides the skater’s insurance for the year. Only one club membership required per family.

SSA (Speed Skating Alberta) & SSC (Speed Skating Canada)

  • $98 + $49 – Provincial Athlete (provincial level racing including Canadian Youth Championships)
  • $128 + $71 – National Athlete (national level racing)
  • $15 + $0 – Parent/Volunteer Membership (one required per family)
  • $21 + $8 – Official Membership

SSC and SSA fees are subject to change each season.

RACE FUND

The race fund is for skaters that do provincial level racing. Skaters are not charged coaching costs for any meets in Canmore.

The club will cover 50% of the coaching cost, while the race fund covers the remaining 50%. This allows us to send our Coach to competitions around the province.  This fund is to be calculated at the end of the season for each skater that attended a competition.  Each skater will be invoiced according to the number of days they attended competitions. A rule of thumb to estimate your race fund contribution – if a skater attends all the competitions (approx. 10-12 race days) – the cost to the skater would be about $350 (2019-2020 pricing.)
