Max is polite and a treat to be around. He seems to light up at the arena. No matter what technical skill he’s asked to try, Max is on it. Asked to change something he’s doing or to add a new skill, the effort starts right away.
Max’s achievement is reflected in his effort. He improves every week. He is thoughtful and meticulous about what he’s doing.
Max is eager all the time, more importantly he encourages other skaters on the ice. Especially his younger brother, Gavin. He regularly invites Gavin to participate with him when there’s a team activity.
Welcome to the club Max, you are a great addition!!!
Please come and join our festive party on Sunday, Dec. 11th @ 6:00pm. The party will start with a lot of laughs and fun with our on ice games where everyone participates. 5th Annual Canmore Ellis Edge Camp,
Friday October 14th – Sunday October 16th, 2016
The Head coach for the camp is Sue Ellis from Rothesay, New Brunswick. Sue is a Level 4 NCCP coach, and 2002 US Olympic Short Track Team Head Coach. For more information about Sue and her camp, click on, http://www.ellismethod.net/bio.html, or http://www.ellismethod.net/home.html.
This will be a technical camp, the focus is working on skill development. The camp participants will watch video of Elite World Cup and Olympic skaters, and analyze the technique and motions that the skaters perform as they skate. The camp participants will then attempt to recreate the motions in dry land exercises and then transfer those skills to the ice. One of the main differences of this camp, is that the skaters will develop an understanding of the the technique that they are trying to develop and why, they can then use this knowledge when they analyze their own skating in the future.
The camp will run from approximately 8:30am – 4:30pm each day, with two ice times, dry land, video analysis, and one hour for lunch.
Cost for the three days is $260 and we have a limit of 25 skaters.
Please let me know if you would like to attend.
We will welcome skaters on a first come basis up to the 25 maximum. We already have skaters singed up for the camp from as far away as Prince George, British Columbia!
If you have any questions, please ask.
